It also has alphabetic and numerical listing of over 9000 cultures (as on 1.03.2009), their properties and composition of over 200 media.
Manual on Bacterial Genetics: Compilation of protocols of experiments in basic bacterial genetics. Cultures necessary for conducting the experiments are available.
Manual on Actinomycetes: Compilation of basic protocols for isolation, selection, screening, identification of actinomycetes and basic principles of gene cloning in Streptomyces. Necessary cultures for conducting the experiments are available.
The MTCC has a good collection of strains useful for teaching purposes. The MTCC scientists will be glad to help in selecting strains for conducting laboratory courses in microbiology.
